Hello Everyone,
As you must have seen the entire Champagne Glow Collection went live today! Woohoo
So, I was able to get my hands on the palette last week before it launched worldwide.
As you can see the packaging is lovely. It is weighted and the entire look and feel is completely Jaclyn Hill. If you don’t follow her on youtube, I would definitely recommend watching her and subscribing. Her personality just shines through.
Last year, she launched Champagne Pop which is the highlighter on the lower left corner. Its a peach gold and it was huge success and BECCA made it permanent.
So this year, they came out with an entire collection around that highlighter. I only picked up this limited edition face palette. It retails for $52 and I guess it’s already sold out on Sephora.com but you can pick it up in stores on June 16th.
I never bought Champagne Pop. I was never really intrigued and I was kind of meh, about powder highlighters back then. So I have become an even bigger fan of Jaclyn’s and when I knew this Palette was limited edition I just bought it.
The top row: From left to right: the first shade is called Rose Spritz and it is Becca’s new Luminous Blus formula which can be used at a blush topper or by itself. It is very, very luminous mind you, hence the name. The next is Amaretto, and wonderful matte satin Brown with a hint of mauve. This is great for contour if you have lighter skin or on tan skin it works well as a blush. Next, is The shade called Pamplemousse, a bright coral pink and this has shimmer in it too but not as much as the first shade.
Next is the iconic Champagne Pop on the lower left corner, and the one next to it is the sister shade and a new one called Presecco Pop.
Champagne Pop is a peachy golden highlighter whereas the one next to it is a gold.
Now, I have not tried the original formula so I cannot compare it to that one. But, when I wear the highlighters or swatch them, they are soo soft and creamy and appear to have a “wet” look. That’s how finely milled the powders are. And, I am still playing around with the blushes and Amaretto and Pamplemousse are my favorites. They look natural on the skin, and the powders just blend very seamlessly. According to Temptalia this formula of Champagne Pop is a litte different but nonetheless very nice!
The pigmentation regardless is great for all of the 5 colors. So, creamy and blendable and you just need a light touch to pack on the color.
I would call this a collector’s item. You definitely do not NEED it.. but if you are curious to try the formulas of Becca and want an all in one palette, then I definitely do recommend it.
